CNW 6858 will lead pink lady EB   Contributor's Pick!
By mid-afternoon, this train was ready to depart, but the WSOR local was working in between Rock Springs and Madison, so it waited. I hoped to shoot this train on the Merrimac bridge, but was thwarted. This train finally departed at dusk. This was the final trip to the quarry for any engine painted in C&NW scheme. This engine was patched during the first week of May 2003 at Proviso.
