CNW 6819 was purchased by Relco at a UP auction in North Platte. It was towed to Proviso, then back to West Chicago. The EJE picked it up there and delivered it to the Relco shop in Minooka. Larry's Truck & Electric, the infamous salvage shop and engine leasing company in Ohio, bought this CNW engine at auction at North Platte. Here it had been towed east to Proviso and was resting on the ready tracks. It was not running in transit. |

The CNW SD40-2s were rapidly being patched in early 2003. This train was the final trip for an all C&NW SD40-2 lash-up. They were separated at South St. Paul, and 6871 met the Patchman shortly thereafter. |
